Heir of Fire

A painful irony exists in this series because Celaena is bound to serve the man who killed her dear friend. She actually wants to kill that tyrant and this is not the first time that she is going to perform such a mission but her hands are bound on this occasion. She has vowed that she will take revenge on the tyrant when the time is right and when the tide turns in her favor. Till then she is waiting and is serving the tyrant against her will.

Chaol is the captain of the king’s guard and he too has a mission or two that he wants to complete. When he allows Celaena to go to Wendlyn, he actually puts himself in harm’s way but something has to be done and for that risks need to be taken. Celaena knows that there is something in Wendlyn that she would need in order to win the war against the tyrant.

When she reaches the place, she realizes that there are other dangers that are approaching the land and she cannot allow them to enter her domain. Although Celaena is working against the ruler she has a love for her people and she cannot allow any kind of harm to come to them. Thus in this part of the series, the author Sarah J. Maas has given two targets to the king of assassins and she is going to confront fire on all sides.
The rhythmic voice of Elizabeth Evans has taken the story to the next level now and the voice that the narrator has used seems perfect for a warrior. Make no mistake about this story because it is different than A Court of Wings and Ruin and A Court of Mist and Fury. The story has shown a true purpose for the primary characters and it has depicted the meaning of true zeal.
