Half-Blood

Being a half-blood is more like a curse for Alex because she has limits that she should obey at any cost. Crossing those limits would mean inviting her to death at an early stage of her life. As she is not pure blood, she has been given two options in life and she has to choose any one of them. She can train hard and become a demon killer or she can become a servant at the home of a pure.
The second role was not acceptable for her so she selected the first one which is not easy at all. Her training started right from the day when she entered the institution and since then she has not been allowed to take a nap. There is also another rule which she thinks she might break eventually. The half-bloods are not allowed to form a relationship with the pures but Alex has a crush on Aiden who happens to be pure.

She cannot control the desires mounting in her heart but she must complete her training first because if she fails then she will have to act like a demon until a pure-blood eradicates her from the face of the universe. With no time to love, Alex must jump into this mess and she has to come out of it alive or die trying.

Author Jennifer L. Armentrout and narrator Justine Eyre have proved that they are the best team to produce something equal in worth to A Light in the Flame and The War of Two Queens. If you are listening to it then don’t look for loopholes because you would not find any in this book anywhere.
