The thrill is redefined in this series by the author of the series Julie Garwood. The author has put in a lot of effort in this series because it is the seriousness of the author which is required in such stories. If the author loses grip on the progress of the story at any point then the entire series could suffer. Julie has tried to do a better job as compared to Ransom and Wired and it has remained successful too.

The Marquess of Cainewood goes on a hunt for pirates in this episode of the series because he wants to take revenge on those who have killed his brother. Caine’s brother was quite dear to him and he was not afraid of the rumors about the pirates that the people had in their minds.

The people around him thought that he would never be able to punish those deadly pirates but he was not ready to believe in these false notions. Susan Duerden narrates how Caine takes a step forward and prepares himself for the ultimate battle. At this stage, he wasn’t expecting a female like Jade would come to his doorstep for help. The woman was a ravishing beauty and she was in deep trouble.

Caine agreed to help Jade because no woman in the world had captured his heart like that in the past. The relationship developed between them in a few days and they were ready to forge a bond when the troubles started coming and they decided to take care of other matters first of all. Although the book has love it cannot be branded as a pure love story because Julie has given more time to action and thrill which are the main theme of the story.
