Connor was a different man once and after a mishap he just lost it completely. Since then life has not got on the right track for him and he is not planning to bring it on the right track either. All he needed was to live a life in isolation because he didn’t want to see any more lives lost in front of his eyes. He thinks that he has seen enough and does not deserve any more punishment now. With these thoughts in mind, he got a seat in an interstellar colony ship that took him to a newly established colony.

The new colony was not a unique thing at that time because the human race already had 300,000 colonies in the universe. Another one in the list was a routine thing however this colony was on the far side of the universe and threats from the enemies were quite eminent. Connor never thought that he would be able to settle in one of these colonies but the colony needs him this time.

The bravery and wisdom of this warrior are needed for the survival of the colony and he is not running away because he cannot see more innocent lives lost in front of him. Ken Lozito lets this story move on the line of Invasion and Nemesis only with a different main character.

Most of the fans have been attracted to this book because of Scott Aiello’s narration. The narrator makes the emotions present in this fantasy appear real. The pain through which Connor goes through can be felt at every step because of the grieved voice given to him.
