Forbidden Highlander

Forbidden Highlander is a romance and fantasy novel. It is the second installment in the Dark Sword novel series. The book is written by Donna Grant. If you are looking for something special from Donna Grant then Dark Alpha’s Redemption is the best novel for you. She did a magnificent job with her A Dragon’s Tale novel as well. The audio narration of Forbidden Highlander is done by Antony Ferguson. It was an uninspiring performance as the narrator ruined the voice of the character of Deidre. The character sounded unbelievable.

Fallon McLeod has got the gifts that any other warrior there could covet. Those gifts include unmatched skills, fierce strength, and even immortality. But, all these gifts came at a certain price which puts all those he loves at grave risk. Only when Quinn, his brother is taken as a captive then Fallon left behind the Highland home’s seclusion which was for taking the help of the king. Every woman at the court would happily be his own for the asking.

Rumors spread quickly around the castle about The McLeod. However, the truth was known to Larena. Larena, just like Fallon was searching for some definite way in vanquishing the evil Druid. He was the one looking to inflict havoc on the planet earth. She was drawn closer to Fallon despite all of her fears. She surrendered herself in front of a passion that shook them both through its raw intensity.

The story was good but the character development could have been better. You will feel that the chemistry lacks between the two main characters. On top of that, the annoying narration by Antony further ruined it.
