Flesh and Steel

Audio of the book is really great, usually it is not easy to find an audio of this quality. James Macnaughton is among those narrators who keeps in view the voice quality and clarity of words all the time.

Noctis is the hero of the show here and he is not a noble man apparently because he has not spent his life in walking on the right path. Over the years he has committed a lot of sins which he repent now in his middle age. Somehow he wants to do good deeds so that his past sins are forgiven eventually.

He has started helping the people in need and this has started to work quite fine for him. Every now and then he helps the poor and solves cases through which he is able to provide justice to the weak.
This time, it is not an ordinary case which Noctis finds on his doorstep because it is a dead body which is found and there is no clue near it which can help in the case. Guy Hayley hasn’t added any fun element in the story because it is about murder and the sins of the past that start coming out on the surface.

Surrounded by Setbacks and The Serial Killer’s Wife were scary tales and this one is even scarier. If you are looking for a mystery with some fiction and emotions attached then go for this one. Story is not like the routine stories which move slowly in a stepwise way rather it is full of action from the first step and the main character is continuously on the run.
