Hal happens to be a beast borne and he is looking for a place to settle down. At the same time, there is a search for the Manaseed too which can be helpful to fuel up the Sanctum. There are beasts and other terrible things in the place where Hal has decided to settle down permanently. He has to save himself and his people as well because there is a threat of extinction that is present in the air. James T. Callum has brought more troubles for Hal in this second part which the author has written.

Hal has to face creatures that are more powerful than him. In order to tackle the situation, he has constructed a special tool that can get the job done. Eric Michael Summerer is again the narrator of this second part as well. The previous experience of the narrator has played a significant role no doubt.

One thing is for sure in this episode i.e Hal and his people are seen in a defensive mode because they have to establish a strong base for themselves first. If they manage to establish a strong base for themselves then they would be able to deal with the enemies in a much better way in the future. Futures Grave and Mist Wardens also possess stories about strange creatures which can haunt you at night.

Such stories are usually not for those who have a weak heart because there is bloodshed too which can be scary at times. The hero survives in this one, however, it does not mean that he will continue in the same manner in the next parts as well.
