Robberies, murders, kidnapping, and drug use everything is happening in this novel which is the 21st episode of the long series. Dillon was not on a mission when he found a pregnant woman in trouble. She was being attacked by a madman. The agent saved the woman and when he caught the criminal, the criminal went into a state of coma. Dillon got surprised and thorough investigation, he was told that some kind of drug was injected into the body of the criminal.
The pregnant woman soon gives birth to a baby and then the baby is kidnapped from the hospital. Dillon realizes that there is some kind of link between the entire thing and when he runs a DNA test on the criminal he gets shocked to know that the man has no match which makes him an Enigma.
Sherlock, Cam, and Jack are also called to the place and they start tracing the kidnapper as only he can have the answers. When the truth is brought to the surface there is evidence of a horrible drug that has been used by an anonymous source.
Catherine Coulter adds in another story in the novel when a bank gets robbed and something quite important is stolen from it. Thus the two narrators Renee Raudman and MacLeod Andrews have been kept busy by the author. Lengthy than The Cove and The Wyndham Legacy: Legacy, Book 1 because this book has a story that moves on more than one level at the same time. The team of agents also has to find more than one rogue villain in the show this time.
