Empire in Black and Gold

Peace is something that a nation treasures more than anything because it provides time to prosper and also strengthen its borders as well. Lowlands’ city states had that gift of peace and the people were enjoying their life up to the maximum level. One thing which they never expected was an attack from the outside world. Perhaps they never saw the world from that point of view and kept enjoying the peace of their beautiful home.

For decades none of them saw any kind of fight or war so most of them don’t know how such things take place and what precautionary measures should be taken care. Then an empire quite close to them started conquering the neighboring villages and lands, at a fast pace which means that soon it would be approaching Lowlands’ city as well. The average people of the land don’t take it as a serious threat except for Stenwold Maker who is an old spymaster. He wants to tell the people about the danger which is coming to the town so that they might not get caught unaware.

The problem is that Stenwold is dying and he thinks that he does not possess ample time for the campaign. Children of Time and Shards of Earth are also created by Adrian Tchaikovsky which can further tell the listeners about the themes which the author usually selects.

Ben Allen’s voice as a narrator has solved many problems in this story because a cool and calm voice was needed that could describe everything clearly to the audience. Ben’s voice was perfect for such a thing and he has concentrated well on the entire show.
