Edge of Collapse

Kyla Stone talks about the super EMP in a new way. Many authors have written about the thing and everyone has described it in a negative way. The heroine of this novel takes the entire thing in a positive way because the destruction of the power grid gave her the chance that she was looking for. Hannah was caged by her sadistic captor for more than five years and on the day when EMP destroyed the power grid, the lock of Hannah’s cage finally opened.

She was able to escape in the open and though the climate was severely cold it didn’t matter. With nothing to defend herself, the girl started a journey in a world where there was no communication. The people were looking for anything that they can snatch from one another. In such a situation survival was not possible especially when Hannah knew that her captor was looking for her and he was searching for her in a mad way.

On the way, Hannah met a soldier who had nothing to do in life. When the man looked at Hannah he knew that he had a new job in his hands because he had nothing else to do in life. Together the two started a journey in which nothing was helping them including the weather.

Stacey Glemboski has narrated Liam and Hannah’s characters with some kind of attention. From the maker of Edge of Madness and The Light We Lost this one is about total chaos of all kinds. One young girl stands against an evil captor, severe climate, and the huge power failure which has turned everyone into something else.
