Daughter of the Empire is a science fiction and fantasy novel. It is the first book in The Empire trilogy and the fifth in the Riftwar Cycle novel series. The book is written by Raymond E. Feist and Janny Wurts. Raymond is an American author of science fiction and got much fame. His novels and some short stories have been translated into multiple global languages and more than 15 million copies have been sold. A Darkness at Sethanon is one of the very good titles from Raymond E. Feist. Another good one from the author that you will love to enjoy is Magician: Master.
The audio narration of Daughter of the Empire book is done by Tania Rodrigues. This was a superb performance that brought an excellent old story to life in this audio version.
The realm of Kelewan got engulfed with murder and magic. The fierce warlords initiated a bitter blood-filled feud to enslave the Tsuranuanni Empire. The spy-master and assassins in the opulent Imperial courts plotted some devious and cunning intrigues which were all meant against the rightful heir. Mara, a young and untested Ruling lady then was called upon to lead her people in an intense struggle for survival. But, she must first look to rally a strong force of the rebel warriors. Only then it could be possible for Mara to come up against the most dangerous enemy of all.
The world created by the authors in this novel is amazing. It could be called a well-cultured world as well. Many readers of the paperback version of the book long ago came here for nostalgic reasons. And, they were pleasantly surprised as the book was just so fantastic.
