Conspiracy is a science fiction and fantasy novel. It is the fourth book in the Emperor’s Edge novel series which is written by Lindsay Buroker. She writes science fiction, action and adventure, high fantasy, and steampunk novels. If you have time and space in your reading list then do consider the Relic of Sorrows novel by the author. You will also have a guaranteed enjoyable time with her Moment of Tooth novel.

The audio narration of the book is done by Vivienne Leheny. She was not bad but the listeners of this series miss the old narrator. The change of narrator was not warranted. However, it will not be justice to Vivienne to show this as negative feedback. The reality is that she was good as well but people were well settled with the old narrator of the series.

When you are an outlaw and hoping to have a pardon then you have to make plans accordingly. Things could be difficult or much more challenging when the emperor himself sends in a note with the request of your team to abduct him.

That would be the scenario even if it asks you to leave the city once you uncover a shipment of secret weapons. All this could well point out towards the start of a new war. One needs to be very careful with all that. The novel is fantastic. You will love to see the heroes getting so much power and the female character addition was a lovely thing done with this installment. The villains will be seen once again with an upper hand. However, the heroes would overcome any negative things with determination and love.
