Roarke von Graf was once among the nobles but now some people think he has gone rogue. He is fighting against a tyrant because he thinks that bringing him down will solve every problem which the locals are facing. But all of it is not that easy because the tyrant has men of his own who are preparing to eradicate the revolutionists with an iron fist.

The dungeon lord is a clever being as he had everything well sort out before time and Roarke’s attacks don’t seem to be affecting the situation very much. When Roarke observes that there is a chance that he and his men might fail in the process, he very quickly starts thinking about a new alliance.

Also forging of a new and deadly weapon is in order which might help in war if it is completed in time. Civil war narrated by Nick Podehl is a battle for survival that Roarke seems to be losing initially. Viridian Gate Online: Imperial Legion and Viridian Gate Online: Doom Forge are other books with the same theme and can be a good collection along with this book. The author does not make it clear till the last chapter that which side is winning the war and this keeps the interest of everyone alive.
