There used to be nothing in the world of Arrakis in the past. The other worlds thought of it as a mere world of dust and nothing else. Then Paul Atreides took over and he brought political and religious progress to the world. This planet became the center of power for all other planets in the galaxy.

Also, Paul altered the basic landscape of the planet as well because of which this planet that was a desert once changed into a green and fertile land with a lot of water in it. So there was progress of all kinds that was seen on the planet and the people of the land were really thriving by all means.  

Soon Paul dies and the people of the planet think that they are facing troubles from all sides. Writer Frank Herbert introduces the children of Paul at this point in the story. The twins named Leto and Ghanima know that their father altered the climate of the planet because this desert planet is going to collapse sooner or later.

This is not the only problem for them, there is another issue i.e the other planets see it as a great opportunity to attack Arrakis so that they can rob its resources. Scott Brick and Simon Vance are the two top quality narrators who have narrated this novel and their voices have changed the influence a great deal. The book is included in the Dune category which has Chapterhouse Dune and Dune as its parts. This is something in which the author is quite skilled and there is no one equal to him when it comes to the creation of the dunes. Keep your mind prepared because a war is coming sooner or later.
