Chasing the Dragon

Chasing the Dragon is the second book in Tyrus Rechs: Contracts & Terminations novel series. It is a work of science fiction and its authors are Jason Anspach and Nick Cole. Jason is known for writing very intense military science fiction novels. Nick is known for outstanding fiction as well. Their combination worked so well for so many other novels where Remains is one of them. Hit & Fade is another fantastic novel by the duo.

Ray Porter did the narration of this Chasing the Dragon novel and he did that pretty well. The characters could be seen coming to life like no other.

Everybody wanted to have the dragon dead. The dragon from his youth days was trained well to operate as a fatal killing machine. He had tangled in the past with the dangerous insurgents, crime lords, and even Nether Ops. None of these forces were ever able to bring in the indefinable warrior to heel.

Then came Tyrus Rechs, the notorious bounty hunter to the scene. Tyrus took on the task as a big favor to the Savage Wars mate. Tyrus wasn’t out to kill the dragon only. His mission was also to save the life of the kid. But, this was only possible if Tyrus could survive and doesn’t get killed by the dragon first. Stake for Tyrus Rechs is quite high here in this novel.

The story of this novel is just OK. It is neither too good nor too bad. The characters were awesomely created and developed throughout this novel. The best thing about this audiobook, Chasing the Dragon is its performance which is extremely beautifully done.
