Camino Island

Camino Island has remained a place where all the action happens in John Grisham’s stories. The author has used such landscapes quite often in his works and the pattern goes on in this episode as well. The author used to write legal thrillers before of the kind The Boys from Biloxi and Sparring Partners. This one is a thriller again but it is a crime thriller in which the investigator is looking for the clues linked to the heist. F. Scott Fitzgerald’s manuscripts are stolen from the library and nobody has been able to track down the one behind such a serious crime.
The manuscripts are worth a lot of money so there are bright chances that the one who has stolen the five manuscripts will go to the black market. The woman who is hired for the job has other thoughts in mind and she is of the view that there is more to the case than the apparent clues which catch the eye.
The criminal has hidden the objects in plain sight and something is deceiving the police and the investigating department because they are not looking in the right way. All of this leads the investigating officer to Camino Island where she finds a few clues and an atmosphere that can make anyone feel gay.
For a while, she becomes so giddy that she starts forgetting the case because she thinks that the case is without any weak links. After enjoying the atmosphere for a while, she gives another go at the case, and this time she proves to be lucky because finally, she is sure that she is going in the right direction.
