Whenever someone gets this book down and starts listening to it, he cannot say no to the fact that the narration by Armie Hammer surely dominates in this book. A sweet and soft narration was needed for such a book and the narrator has provided it exactly that. It is the forbidden romance that the author is talking about between a boy and the guest who came to his father’s mansion during the summer.

The two spent time together during that summer and after that, they felt that they were not separable. It seems that they were made for one another and the passion which was aroused between the two was unlike any other passion that they had experienced before in their life. Soon they found themselves inseparable and the relationship between them was unique. The problem was that it was not acceptable to society and they had to leave everything aside if they want to join hands.

Andre Aciman talks about human passions here which are uncontrollable. Getting to our loved one becomes an obsession for us and we cannot live without him or her.
