The audio narration of By Darkness Forged is done by Jeffrey Kafer. He is an experienced performer but failed to do justice with the story. The issue was with the mispronunciation of a few words which took away a lot from the characters of the story.

The story in By Darkness Forged is of an old friend. It is a tale of a new course. It is also about a deadly ship which was having a secret cargo.

Ishmael Wang made a return back to Port Newmar. However, the ghosts from his past life have also followed him. Phillip Carstairs was his old shipmate who offered him the much-needed opportunity to locate the person who killed his lover. But, there is a catch here: He must look to take charge of the Chernyakova. It was a ship that continued to stink. It also haunted the nightmares of Ishmael.

Ishmael and Phillip started with their journey into some unknown reaches leading to the Deep Dark. It was to bring back the person who was responsible for killing Greta.

The story is very exciting and you will enjoy the characters as well. The only issue was with the narration which didn’t go that well.
