Betwixt

Betwixt is a science fiction and fantasy novel. It is the first installment in Betwixt & between novel series. It is written by Darynda Jones. She has been the bestselling writer in NYT and USA Today. She is the winner of both the Golden Heart and RITA awards. All these things suggest that you must look to try more novels from the writer. If that is what you are thinking as well then her A Hard Day for a Hangover could be the first one to attempt. Bewitched is another highly recommended novel that Darynda Jones has written so beautifully.

The audio narration of this book is done by Traci Odom. The narration was just fine. It had some room for improvement.

Defiance Dayne, a former restaurateur was desperate, destitute, and divorced. She discovered that she has been bestowed a house that came from a stranger. She was surprised by that. But, it was her curiosity that got the better of her. She left Phoenix and came to Salem, Massachusetts, which was one of the most infamous towns in America.

She only went there to find out why a woman who didn’t meet her ever would give her such a big house. The lawyer who was given this case begged her to take this case completely off her hands. It was mostly because she was quite scared of it. But, all that did came with some baggage as well. There was a pesky neighbor who wanted her to be gone from there…

The premise of this novel is superb. The story itself was quite phenomenal. The narrator is new to the scene and in that capacity, she did a pretty decent job.
