Before the Broken Star

Before the Broken Star is the first chapter in The Evermore Chronicles novel series. The book is a romance and fantasy novel which is written by Emily R. King. She is a brilliant writer of fantasy novels and has given some amazing novels in her career so far. The Rogue Queen is undoubtedly her best novel. Another good novel from the author is The Warrior Queen.

The audio narration of Before the Broken Star novel is done by Lauren Ezzo. The voice or the tonal quality of the narrator was quite good but she seemed to be too fast-paced and rushed at times.

Everley was living her life on borrowed time. She was the lone survivor of the unexplained assassination of her family. She was saved from that assassination by an inventively fashioned clock heart. But, the given time to her wouldn’t last for too long or forever at all. Every second reminds her that how fragile her existence in this world is and that also hastens her search to expose Killian. He was an admiral in the Navy who completely broke her world and left her almost for dead. But, the search of Everley for justice would be a hard-won and long voyage.

Her hunt took her to a penal colony which was located on a cursed isle. It was the place where she would marry and will build a new world for herself. The realms are also hidden in this and nearby places. It will be all about unearthing treasures and burying secrets here.

Before the Broken Star is a very engaging and creative story. The character of Everley was just so amazing. You will be in awe of the writer and narrator of this novel for sure.
