Barrow King: An Epic LitRPG/ GameLit Adventure is a science fiction and fantasy book. It is the opening title in The Realms Series. The book is written by C. M. Carney. His professional career started as a creative executive of an SFX and animation studio. He worked there for almost two decades and then decided to go for his lifelong dream of becoming a writer. It was worth the move as he became the bestselling author. Killing Time: An Epic LitRPG/ GameLit Adventure is a very good book by the author. If you are a fan of LitRPG novels then Carney also has another good one by the name of The Forsaken God: An Epic LitRPG/ GameLit Adventure.

The narration of this novel is done by Armen Taylor. This was an awesome performance and Taylor knocked this novel out of the park with his powerful voice.

The story of this novel started with a betrayed spy who turned with time into a noob hero. He was betrayed by all those who were quite close to him. Finn thought that he has managed to escape from his life of deception and violence. But then a frantic message coming from his estranged sister changed everything as it drew him into The Realms. It was believed to be the most advanced and sophisticated holographic reality game in the world. Finn was pushed hard against his will for embracing all of his deadly skills one more time.  This was the time when he became Gryph, the warrior mage while being armed with Godhead, the mysterious artifact.

The book is excellent with its writing and performance both. You will be excited to experience such a grand opening to the series.
