Back in the Burbs

This is the first episode of the series that Avery Flynn and Tracy Wolff have created as a team. The woman in the story is in a terrible state because she has lost her husband and apartment at the same time. Her husband had been cheating on her for a long time and now he thought that their connection was finally over. The woman has no job at the age of thirty five and she is left with no money in her bank account either.

At such a stage, she thinks of her distant aunt Maggie who has been helping her since the beginning but she also dies within a few days. Maggie has also left a will for her niece according to which she is now the owner of the family house in which her aunt was living. The woman thinks that it was a sign of hope which she was looking for so she leaves everything and goes to her family home which she owns now.

When she reaches the place, she gets more frustrated because she realizes that the house was a piece of shit. The neighbors were also not very friendly at all and there were HOA violations which the new owner had to take care of. One thing which charmed the thirty five year old was the presence of a hot and charming man close to her house.

Sophie Amoss gives a mixed sort of voice in narration at this stage because the woman in the story cannot decide whether she is happy or sad. The Negotiator and The Schemer were about clever people while this one focuses on a hard worker who is finding life tough all the time.
