Aurora Rising is a teen & young adult science fiction & fantasy novel. It is the first entry in The Aurora Cycle Series. The book is coauthored by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff. This is the best series of the authors’ duo where they created so much magic with their exceptional writing. Aurora’s End is another worth mentioning book from The Aurora Cycle Series. They also did a good job with the writing of Gemina novel which is part of The Illuminae Files series.

The story of Aurora Rising is set in the year 2380. That was the time when the graduating cadets of the Aurora Academy had their tasks cut out with their very first missions. Tyler Jones was the star student of the academy. He was all set to recruit the squad of his dreams. But then his very own boneheaded heroism saw him stuck deep with the dregs that nobody else would touch in the academy.
The squad had a cocky diplomat who also had a black belt in… sarcasm. A sociopath scientist was there with an interest in shooting all of her bunkmates. Then it came to a tech whiz with the biggest chip in the galaxy on his shoulder. After that comes an alien warrior who had some serious issues with anger management…
Aurora Rising is an excellent intergalactic space opera that has it all. It comes with action, suspense, thrillers, humour, and all the emotions.
