After the successful accomplishment of that mission, it was thought that the planet Earth was safe for many hundreds of years, at least. But that was not the case, unfortunately.

After that, there was some great trouble reported on the home front side. On top of that, the president also had to authorize a nuclear strike on a targeted American city. United Nations Expeditionary Force decided that they need to have the Merry Band of Pirates once again. Therefore, the Flying Dutchman starship was deployed on yet another simple recon mission.
