Diana Bishop is the main character in this story of obsession and passion. She was a descendant of witches and a young scholar as well. She came across a long-lost and magical kind of alchemical manuscript which was Ashmole 782. T was found somewhere deep in the Bodleian Library of Oxford. The reappearance of the same called for a fantastical underworld which she navigated along with Matthew Clairmont, her leading man, and a vampire geneticist.
The book has pretty much abusive romance while the story was reasonably good. The audio narration was not up to the mark.
