DI Lindsay Boxer was jogging along the gorgeous street of San Francisco. There she witnessed a fiery explosion that ripped right through the entire neighborhood. There was a townhouse under the ownership of an Internet millionaire which engulfed in flames all of a sudden. When Lindsay Boxer went inside the property to look for the survivors then she found the dead bodies of three people there. An infant was also the occupant of the house but he couldn’t be found anywhere. Moreover, a mysterious message was found at the scene which made not only Lindsay Boxer but the entire SF Police Department entirely perplexed.

After that, a renowned businessman was found dead under extremely mysterious circumstances. Another mysterious message was found at that crime scene which was left there by the murderer. Lindsay approached Claire, her friend for help who was a medical examiner. The other people she approached for help were Assistant D. A. Jill and a crime reporter, Cindy Thomas.
