Terry Goodkind used magic and some blend of the old myths in Wizard’s First Rule and Stone of Tears. This story also has some myths involved but those are more tragic and painful. As a kid don’t select this book that is full of mourning because a strong heart is needed to listen to stuff like this one. Sam Tsoutsouvas’ grieved voice creates a scenario that just grips the heart directly.
