City of Shattered Light

Sarah Beth Pfeifer has an exact kind of voice that suits every fantasy tale whether it has a tragedy involved or is given a comic touch by the author. Women Talk Money has a psychological story and it was in need of a clear and strong voice. Sarah provided all the demands accurately to the story and painted it as a masterpiece. Claire Winn has come up with three female characters in this novel.

One of them is Asa who does not want to live her life according to the wishes of her father. She happens to be the heiress of the tech empire but she does not want to follow in the footsteps of her father. On one occasion when her father manipulates the mind of her sister, Asa finally rebels against her father and escapes the empire on a ship.

Her ship crash lands on a planet that was quite a nasty one in the galaxy. The planet was full of rogues who were in need of ransom to fulfill their needs. Riven was one of the rogue ones who wanted huge money to save her planet. Riven gets her hands on Asa but quickly they realize that a dangerous AI system is after them and they can survive only if they work together.

The AI system happens to be stronger than their expectations because it can make them relive their dark past or secrets which they have tried to hide or forget. If the two kneel down in front of the computer program then they will lose what they love the most in their life and they would surely perish afterward.
