There are quite rare times when Eve finds it difficult to catch a criminal and this is one of those occasions in which the criminal is not leaving any clues for her.

She has witnessed more than one murder with the help of a silver wire but there has been nothing else i.e no motive or pattern behind the killing. This time a woman gets killed in Roarke’s hotel which brings her husband Roarke in trouble too. Moreover, Eve thinks that her husband could be a target too and if she wants to catch the killer then she has to use her husband as bait.

J.D. Robb is a very good writer when it comes to writing stories with murders and cunning murderers involved in them. Susan Ericksen is an equally awesome narrator so the story was bound to become a famous item like Secrets in Death and Indulgence in Death. The killer who acts like a musician is coming for his next target and Eve thinks that she is prepared because her husband’s life is on the line.

Eve has no idea what she is dealing with so she would need all her wits to get the job done and losing the competition is not an option because she will lose the love of her life in that way. Roarke is the only person she loves in the whole world and she is not going to allow a psychopath to take that happiness away from her.
