Before starting this book, the audience should have some knowledge about the author David Baldacci. The author is a legend in this field of literature and he is famous worldwide because of his creations. So while listening to any of the books written by Baldacci, a person should prepare his mind to focus on the story and the plot completely.

There should be no distraction in your mind about the quality of the story because it will always be perfect. Narrators for this book, Ron McLarty and Orlagh Cassidy are the perfect pair for narration all the time so the listener has to do only one thing i.e relax and enjoy the progress of the story. John Puller i.e a veteran by profession has performed well for his country all his life and before this, his father was doing the same thing.

There is a little problem this time as Puller’s brother has been arrested for treason and he must prove that his brother is innocent or it would be a setback for the family. John wanted some timeout for this personal agenda but he is called to the rural area where something is seriously wrong. An entire family has been slaughtered in the area and the reason is not clear. The local homicide detective is on the case as well but she has been facing some personal troubles just like John.

The listener will enjoy this one and will find Long Shadows and The 6:20 Man waiting for him during the next weekend. The mystery keeps on increasing in these novels and nothing gets resolved as long as the end is reached. Going through the book randomly would prove to be the biggest mistake because such books need proper attention and every event in these books is significant.
