Incidents happen and life can be changed in a split second without any reason. These incidents are accepted as fate by most people and then there is an exceptional group that decides to fight against the odds. The man in the story is not among the odd ones rather he is a common man who thought that the happiness in his life was taken away by just a single bullet.
He was fifteen years of age at that time and now after more than a decade, he still has those fears in his mind. He has achieved a lot and has established an empire for himself but there is still no room in his heart for a family. He fears that he will lose his happiness again.
Author Aly Martinez once again takes the help of chance in the story and adds a baby girl to the novel. Someone leaves a newborn baby girl on the doorstep of the young man. At first, he wanted to get rid of her but she was so lively that he decided to adopt her.
Four years later the mother of that baby returned and demanded her daughter back but the man was not ready to leave the girl that he had adopted. Moreover, he was not able to stop himself from developing an attraction to the mother of the baby girl as well. Release and From the Embers are also stories which look quite attached to the real world too. Andi Arndt and Christian Fox have done a splendid job for this book and also for the others which they have narrated as a team.
