Two opposite characters created by Julie Garwood are thrown into a situation by the author in which they must work together at any cost. If they don’t work together then survival might become very difficult for them. So it can be said that they are basically fighting for their own life.
After going together for some time they start attracting the attention of each other and think that the relationship can be kept in the same manner later on at the end of the mission. Allison is a computer hacker who can crack any code and she has been cleverly hiding her skills behind the neat veil of a college degree. No one has been able to detect their clever skills of Allison until now when an FBI agent named Liam reaches her and asks for help.
Liam thinks that someone in the department is leaking important information and that a hacker from the outside can trace him because it could be anyone. Liam cannot trust anyone in the department so he establishes contact with Allison who is stunned to notice that Liam has been keeping an eye on her for a very long time.
Liam needs her help and in return, he can offer her a safe passage even when he knows that Allison has gone beyond the boundary a couple of times. Shadow Music and The Secret are the types of stories that can be compared with this book. These books have no weakness in their theme or plot because everything has been tackled marvelously well. The book needed a narrator who could provide a voice that does not break at any point and Saskia Maarleveld had just that kind of voice so it ended up perfectly.
