Fights and wars have not been able to stop the White Lich who is still moving ahead as he conquers one empire after another. Mallon went under the control of the evil force long ago and then the next victim was the state of Narashtovik. Now no state or person is safe from the deadly hands of the devil that has come to the land.
Between all of these two characters, i.e Dante and Blays stand as a weak hope for mankind. They went in search of the Spear of Stars long ago and have not returned to the land yet. When they started the quest they didn’t believe in the existence of the spear but now they are sure that it exists. Also, they have complete information about nine parts of the spear and their places.
But there is one problem that hinders the way of these two heroes i.e the nine parts are guarded by gods and they are not ready to hand over the pieces easily. If the pieces are not retrieved in time then things will go out of hand forever.
Edward W. Robertson has kept the continuity quite well in the sixth part and it is expected that The Twelve Plagues will not break the flow. After this series, the listener can start the next series with Students of the Order which also tells about epic battles. Tim Gerard Reynolds’s narration never misses its charm and it has created a real difference in this book. The narrator here in this novel works more like a painter i.e giving the colors to the characters through voice.
