Walk the Wire Audiobook
Amos Decker and Alex Jamison are the best teams for the job whenever a crime takes place. The two have solved cases and reduced the number of crimes very quickly in their area and on this occasion, David Baldacci takes these two to the streets of London. Going to the bigger spectrum was like an honor for both of them but they weren’t smiling because they knew that something big was waiting for them in that big city.
The population of that city was increasing at a rapid pace and this increased the number of drug addicts and prostitutes too. The police were tackling these cases in the best possible way but now there was a murder scene that was tough to handle. So for that murder case, the police have sent for Amos and her partner.
They search the sight and then analyze the body for further procedures. The one who died was Irene Cramer and the woman was living with two different identities just like the characters in the stories such as Long Shadows. In the morning Irene was a teacher working for a religious sect and at night she was a prostitute ready to go for big money.
So these were two opposite identities that the woman was keeping and Amos Decker wants to know the reason behind the thing. It is not like Memory Man where the scenes repeat again and again but some past references do play their role. The links of the woman who has been murdered really open up a new kind of case and the two detectives had to risk their lives to solve the case because no one is helping them in the big city.
