Vampire is a teen & young adult novel. It is written by Richie Tankersley Cusick. She is an American novelist and has authored more than 25 titles so far. Evil on the Bayou was her first one which is still cherished by her fans. Someone at the Door and Silent Stalker are a couple of other good novels written by Richie. The audio narration of the Vampire novel is done by Judith West. She did a phenomenal job and her great voice acting added a lot to this audio novel.
The story of this novel starts with the character of Darcy Thomas. In her summer home which was the Dungeon of Horrors, there was a charming green-eyed uncle whom she had just met for the first time. Her summer home was owned by Jake. However, the expected fun in that summer house in not time turned into terror. All that happened when some real bodies in the house were found. Those bodies came with the mark of a vampire that appeared right on their throats. Darcy feel threatened and rightly so as she was probably the next target of the vampires.
The book comes with plenty of stereotypical stuff which you would love to enjoy in a campy story. The excellent performance by Judith proved to be icing on the cake.
The storyline is very unique and refreshing for which the character goes to Richie Tankersley Cusick who did a splendid job. If you are a fan of the B-movie vampires then you will have a great time with this audiobook. The encounters with Darcy were intriguing especially when she met with several young people. That was the time when things started to go weird and interesting in this novel.
