Agnieszka was in love with her valley home. It was a very quiet village with a bright shining river and thick forest. But, there was a corrupted Wood that stood right at the border and was full of malevolent power. The shadows were lying over her life. Her people were dependent on the wizard, Dragon to keep all its powers at bay. But, he asked for a terrible price for all the help needed. The price was of handing him a young woman who would go on to serve him for the next complete decade. The fate there was as terrible as falling to the Wood.
The next choice was quickly coming closer and Agnieszka was seriously scared. She knew along with everyone that the Dragon would take Kasia as a victim. She was graceful, brave, and beautiful, which Agnieszka was not. She was also the dearest friend and saving her looked impossible.
