Under the Dome is a horror fiction novel and it came from arguably the best writer in that business who is none other than Stephen King. Among his most loved books, you will surely find his It novel to be right at the top. After this novel, you will also find his Fairy Tale novel to be worth your time.
The audio narration of Under the Dome is very beautifully done by Raul Esparza.
It was a very much normal day of fall in Chester’s Mill in Maine. It was the town that all of a sudden and inexplicably got sealed off from the rest of the world. There was an invisible force field behind this act. As a result of this, several planes were seen crashing right into it and they would also fall from the sky in the form of fiery wreckage. Then, the hand of a gardener was cut just as the ‘dome’ came down on it. Many of the people running their errands in the nearby town were divided from their loved ones. Moreover, the cars also reportedly exploded on the impact. There was nobody who could fathom what that barrier was and where it came from, and also by when. On top of that, nobody had any idea when it would go away.
Dale was an Iraq vet and a cook. He teamed up with some of the intrepid citizens. Big Jim, a politician stood against them and wouldn’t stop at anything to get hold of the reins of power.
A good bit of your time will be well spent with this amazing novel. However, the ending was quite poor and it ruined a very good buildup until the conclusion.
