Will Wight with this book has reached the seventh book of the series and still, there is a lot to be written. The king has not been chosen yet because the tournament is still going on at a fast pace. All the Monarchs present in the Cradle decided that they would bring their students to a single spot after which competition will be held among them. The Monarchs and their students were already like legends on the land and this was one step ahead of greatness.
They wanted to see whose apprentice or heir was the best among the rest. This is not only a competition for the crowning of the king but also a fight to prove oneself as the best. Tasks that are there in front of the competitors are life-threatening and only the winner might be able to make out of it alive. So far in the previous six books, we have seen heroes going down and the legends crumbling at the hands of fate. [Uncrowned Audiobook]
There is no change in the narration as Travis Baldree continues in the way he started from the first part of the series. The story is sharp like Bloodline and Of Shadow and Sea but it cannot be called a terrorizing one. [Uncrowned Audiobook]
The stunts and the competitions make the story look astonishing instead of gloomy so don’t consider it a dark story. The role of politics starts playing its part here but it will not have a great impact as long as the heroes are performing at their level best in the game. Just wait for the end of this novel and you will get the surprise of a lifetime.
