When someone is moving in the wild then there is quite a big probability that he would find wild animals. No one is ready to find love in the wild, that too in the middle of the wild animals. Rusty was a successful businesswoman and she wasn’t the one who would like to get stuck in danger at any rate. She wanted to be in a peaceful place all the time and she had no idea that she would land in the center of a wild forest full of wild animals and humans.
When she gets injured, she thinks that her life would be over soon and at this time she is saved by the last man on the planet that she wanted to see. Cooper Landry used to be a vet in Vietnam and now he was back to his normal life. The man knew everything about wild animals of every kind. When he saw that Rusty was alone in the forest and she was badly injured too, he rushed to help her.
Although he wasn’t interested in such cases without his help, Rusty had no chance of survival. In order to save the life of that woman he decided to help her in getting out of the forest and soon the two find out that their lives were in terrible danger.
Perhaps Sandra Brown had Texas! Chase in her mind when she was writing this one as we can feel the race and the chase in the story. Quick paced voice of the narrator Joyce Bean has also played its part very well here. Love does not come in the story very quickly, it is after certain events that the two characters start feeling that fate has brought them together for a special purpose. Overkill can also be added to the bookshelf as it is also a marvelous creation of Sandra Brown.
