Cilla was never the one who wanted to work under the spotlight. Although the girl was in love with art she didn’t want to be the one standing on the stage all the time. She wanted to create and generate profit from art but not by display of her own self. Fixing up the houses was her basic aim since the beginning and when she gets free from the shackles of her mother, she finally decides to start what she likes the most in her life.
She starts fixing up a house that once belonged to her grandmother. The house had some past memories linked to it as well so she thought that it will give her something to think about and enjoy too. During her work in the house, she got her hands on certain old letters which actually belonged to her grandmother.
She was curious about those letters so she started investigating the information posted in the letters. She wasn’t aware that the place was surrounded by certain evildoers and they were keeping an eye on her every move. When she goes deep into the mystery, she suddenly finds herself being chased by a killer who wants to stop her permanently.
Jennifer Van Dyck usually does not narrate at a quick speed here because of the demand of the scenes the narrator has kept a quick pace to narrate this story, Nora Roberts. With Year One and The Choice in her bag, Nora Roberts is one of the most loved authors of all time. She can make you feel the change in the story and the development in the personality of the characters.
