Giving up one dream is always the biggest punishment a person can get. If our dream or goal of life shatters then we are left with nothing in life. General Treyvon Rayner is one of the good guys in the state and all he wants is peace and prosperity in the land that once suffered heavily because of his ancestors. He is the best friend of the emperor of the state now and of course, he is in his good books but the past tease him to this point.
No matter how hard he tries he still fears that the people don’t have complete trust in him. Then there is another one named Jennifer who is an excellent chef and she wanted to get the taste of different lands. Her passion brought her to the sea and she started a voyage along with her husband and sister.
A terrible incident made her lose her husband and sister but that was not all, the girl was thrown on a land where people have no sense of taste. Thus Jennifer’s life all of a sudden becomes tasteless in so many ways that she cannot explain. M.K. Eidem brings the two unlucky people together and they finally think that they can help each other.
Her Commanders and Grim were sadistic in most parts while this book comes with a sign of hope after a few initial chapters. Ian Gordon’s voice dominates most lines but Jennifer Gill, Griffin Murphy, and Roslyn Hicks have also played their roles very well. Things don’t get smooth anywhere for Treyvon and Jennifer but they are not without hope.
