Treasure Island is an Audible Original Drama. This fictional classic is originally written by Robert Louis Stevenson while the adaptation into play is done by Marty Ross. He was a highly reputed Scottish essayist, novelist, poet, and travel writer. Treasure Island is his most notable work. However, he was also appreciated a lot for his outstanding writing in Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. His poems collection found in A Child’s Garden of Verses is truly amazing as well. []
The performances in this Treasure Island drama are done by Philip Glenister, Catherine Tate, Owen Teale, Daniel Mays, and the full cast. This was a truly incredible performance. All of the cast performed exceptionally well. However, Catherine Tate deserves a special mention here for her outstanding vocal delivery which was full of expression and just what the story demanded out of her. She is a BAFTA nominated actress and did an exceptional job running her The Catherine Tate Show and also for her work in Doctor Who and The Office. [Treasure Island Audiobook]
Treasure Island is a timeless story of lost treasure maps, pirates, and mutiny. One general opinion of this dramatized version of Treasure Island suggested that the original story was way better. The dramatized version somehow suppressed the great story which it had. But, this is the case only when you compare this dramatized version with the original classic. [Treasure Island Audiobook]
