To Kill a Warlock is the opening chapter of Dulcie O’Neil. The romance book is written by H. P. Mallory. She is the bestselling author of urban fantasy and paranormal romance novels in the New York Times. He has also written mystery thrillers with suspense. If you are a fan of such novels then a good one from H. P. Mallory is A Midsummer Night’s Scream. After this, Toil and Trouble is one more splendid novel which the author has written.
The audio narration of this novel is done by Therese Plummer. She is a supremely talented and experienced narrator who gave an awesome performance in this audiobook. A shape-shifting creature is found to be on the loose. An extremely handsome and striking stranger was deployed for the investigation. Sometimes, working for the law enforcement agency of the Netherworld is nothing short of a real bitch.
Dulcie is a fairy and not the one known to frolic in the gardens. She is more of a Regulator, a law enforcement agent responsible for monitoring the Netherworld’s creatures. The need was to keep them all from inflicting havoc in the earthly world.
Then a warlock gets killed and Dulcie was the last one who saw him alive. She must do her best for uncovering the truth before she gets deported to the netherworld or before she becomes the next victim. Knight Vander entered the scene who was a deeply attractive investigator. He was supposed to work with Dulcie on the case as he was sent from Netherworld for the same reason. The novel is engaging but sometimes, you will also find it to be frustrating. The frustration was mainly due to some overly emotional, impulsive, and stubborn moments.
