Time’s Convert is a suspenseful mystery thriller novel. It is the fourth book in the All Souls Series. The book is written by Deborah Harkness. She is an American author and scholar. A Discovery of Witches is her most popular and bestselling novel. Apart from this, The Book of Life is another nice book that Deborah Harkness has written.
The audio narration of Time’s Convert novel is written by Saskia Maarleveld. This was a poor performance and the narrator was unable to do accents.
Matthew de Clermont within the battlefields of the American Revolution met Marcus MacNeil. He was a young surgeon. At a considerable political moment when it appeared that the world was at the edge of a brighter future, Matthew offered Marcus a good chance at immortality. It was also a chance at having a new life from the fetters of his puritanical upbringing. Marcus maximized the opportunity for becoming a vampire. But his transformation by no means was an easy one. The ancient traditions and all the responsibilities of the Clermont family clash with deeply held beliefs of Marcus which were about equality, liberty, and brotherhood.
The story then moved to Paris where Phoebe was the young worker at Sotheby for whom Marcus had fallen for. Phoebe was just about the set off on her journey towards immortality. The modernized version of that process initially seemed to be quite complicated but the couple found that the challenges were no less formidable as compared to the 18th century for the one who wishes to be a vamp. This story from Deborah Harkness is amazing, as expected. Unfortunately, the listeners had a tough time with the narrator who gave a monotonous performance which was quite distracting.
