This is written by Glen Cook and narrated by Marc Vietor. The Black Company and Shadows Linger are the exceptional writings of Glen Cook.
She is the last any expectation of good in the conflict against the insidious sorceress known as the Lady. From a mystery base on the “Plains of Fear” where even the Lady wonders whether or not to go, the “Black Company” once in support of the Lady currently battles to carry triumph to the “White Rose”. However, a considerably more prominent evil undermines the world. Every one of the extraordinary fights that have gone before will appear to be a clash when the “Dominator” becomes alive once again.
It is not so much that “The White Rose” is not great and it’s indeed generally excellent. It’s that it has moved such a long way from the pessimistic military dream that it was in the first and the majority of the subsequent book.
Beginning with the finish of “Shadows Linger” the series has moved nearer and nearer to the customary epic dream. The characters used to be bad and have had a large portion of their coarseness pruned out and appear to be more gallant with each page. Indeed, perhaps that is simply character advancement. Croaker has likewise become progressively significant and the Lady’s advantage in him has just expanded throughout the long term.
Point of view moving proceeds in “Shadows Linger” which this time around give us some much-needed knowledge into the history of the Lady and her realm. Truth be told is the most intriguing piece of the book this time and the messages containing the decoded history of the “wizard Bowmanz”. Gracious and the proceeded with the deconstruction of “Raven” is generally so very tickling. This is a fantastic end to the initial three books of the north.
