Eleanor Swinden works like an enchantress when she is narrating something, she just captures the thoughts and minds of every listener. This is already a mesmerizing novel by Catherine Coulter so the fun is doubled. Jessie gathers attention first of all because of her odd behavior in society which is a bit conventional in approach. She wants to be a jockey just like her father and for this purpose, she wears men’s clothes all the time.
The people of the town don’t like her attitude but she has a rival in the neighborhood whom she wants to defeat. The name of that rival is James and he knows Jessie since she was fourteen years of age he treats her as a little sister and nothing more than this. Jessie on the other hand has a love for him and the rivalry is just a smokescreen. She wanted to have him in the past but he married someone else, and now he is a widower which has given Jessie another chance.
James starts getting attracted to another woman who tries to bring harm to him and Jessie saves him right in time but loses her grace further in society. James takes her to another place where finally the love develops between the two.
After their marriage, the darkness like that in The Wyndham Legacy: Legacy, Book 1 comes to the surface and takes over the story. Suddenly there is a talk about a treasure and a rape mystery, the kind of crime which we obvious in The Target: An FBI Thriller, Book 3. This is a story that will provide all kinds of adventure i.e from horse races to pirate treasures.
