On the mountainside, there is always peace because the warriors of the land have made the enemy run away. No one dares to enter the Kaigenese Empire because the warriors are actually superhumans. They can control water and can make weapons from the ice as well. Mamoru is the new young member of the Matsuda family and since his childhood, he has been thinking of becoming an iconic warrior just like his ancestors.
He has been training from the day when he became able to carry a sword. He thinks that he will get the chance to serve the nation but he wasn’t expecting that the time will come so quickly when he is not even ready. The foreign forces have started invading the land and there is something about Kaigenese that has started troubling the young lad.
He realizes that everything that is told about the land was actually a big lie and several bitter realities have been hidden from him. There is also something about his mother that he was never told. His mother was a warrior from a different clan and after her marriage, she just hid her sword forever. Now she thinks that the time to take her sword in hand has come once again because her son needs her help.
Redemption and This Guild Is Batty! made M.L. Wang quite famous and this has turned the author into a legend. Andrew Tell’s voice as the narrator of the story has been quite helpful for the fans because such books need a clear voice all the time. If the narrator’s voice is not clear then several things can remain unclear to the audience.
