Welcome to the troubled world of Gracie Reed who is a girl in serious sort of trouble. No matter how hard she has tried in her life, she has faced failure and rejection. The girl does not possess any kind of desire to rise high in society rather she has simple and humble wishes that she wants to fulfill. The first one of course is to admit her mother to a better nursing home so that she could live the remaining days of her life in a better way.

Secondly, she wants a good job now because her previous boss has thrown her out of the office and she is short of money these days. Suddenly one day the Chinese actors who have great fame in the world of cinema show up at Gracie’s door out of nowhere. Wei and Fangli were quite famous in the world of media and now they want Gracie to play the role of Fangli for a few days because both of them have the same appearance.

Gracie was unable to say no to the proposal because the couple was offering a lot of money and ample time to spend in the world of glamour. Wei had been Gracie’s favorite for a long time and she wanted to be with him but that was her dream right dreams don’t come true quite often.

Lily Chu brings a rapid change in the life of her main character as Gracie starts living her dream life. Later she realizes that she has made a big mistake because there was a reason Fangli left. With Phillipa Soo’s narration, it will appear better than Ain’t She a Peach. The story has a lot of twists and it can be called the strength of this book. As a listener, all you have to do is to wait for the final twist.
