Kingkiller chronicle by Patrick Rothfuss is one of those series that will take a person on a tour from which he will never want to return. World of Patrick’s imagination is not very beautiful because it is full of scary creatures but these creatures have mysteries attached to them which makes us crazy. A listener instantaneously gets curious of the thing and then he goes to the end spellbound.
During the first two parts everyone heard about the character known as Auri but not much was discussed about her. The author also was so much busy in painting the continuation of the story that he didn’t get the chance to introduce this character properly. Here the author writes and narrates Auri’s character with full background. Auri introduces herself in the story and tells us her tale.
She lives in a dark place of which many people of the university are unaware of and those who know about it don’t want to visit it ever. Auri lives near those passageways and knows about the place better than anyone else. She has seen everything happening in front of her eyes and has become the prime witness of all the terrible happenings in the past few decades.
Like The Name of the Wind and The Wise Man’s Fear the author has tried to present the main character as an innocent being who is just thrashed into all of this. Auri never wanted to become a part of all this but it was her fate that brought her there and then blended her into it. Story is not linked to the main storyline of the chronicle but it is appealing in its way.
