So many legends in one place can attract the attention of anyone. Theodore Sturgeon, Lester del Rey, and H.G. Wells have made a great contribution to this book which is narrated by Chris Andrew Ciulla, Mark Boyett, and Kevin T. Collins. The book has eleven masterpieces in it that have such a flavor that they can be enjoyed over and over again. Each story is the best that the author ever produced in his life.
There are romantic scenes along with some fight scenes too. It is like an amalgam of the best fantasy tales in the world. If you haven’t heard these books then give some time to them and you will not get disappointed at all. The spooky tales can make the listener remain alert all the time. “The Marching Morons” is one of the most interesting pieces of literature one can find. The good thing is the plot of these stories which is always strong and the conflict gets resolved in an epic way all the time. There is an internal and an external conflict going on in most of these stories so the audience has to keep alert.
As for characterization, the stories are equal to Some of Your Blood and X Minus One by all means. The first four stories don’t open in an action packed way because the scenes develop slowly and then the fight starts while in the rest of the stories the author goes on the big gear from the start.
In a few stories at the end, there are some extra details too which can make you feel tired if you are listening without a break so it is better to listen to this book in two halves.
